The Sword Unused
The horse he rides may not be white
He thinks so just the same
Upon his steed the world he strides
to hunt most dangerous game
He gallops frantic west to east
His foes he cannot reach
But still he strikes down men like beasts
as if by force to teach
And when the sun sets on his deeds
what wonder he should know
for strife abounds from such dark seeds
and violence only grows
So coming home the knight dismounts
his armor redly stained
and battles wait so near unfought
yet these the knight disdains
And by the fire a sword unused
rests mounted high above
But its glory the knight refused
for he would not wield Love!
